This machine can process large amounts of ore continuously and has a high processing capacity. Its design features a large magnetic field depth and a large working gap that ensures efficient separation of particles.
The working principle of this machine is simple. When slurry is fed into the magnetic field area, the strongly magnetic minerals adsorb onto the surface of the drum, while the weakly magnetic and non-magnetic minerals are thrown off and discharged. The strongly magnetic minerals rotate with the drum and are taken out of the magnetic field area, completing the separation process.
The drum can be equipped with three types of troughs, namely, downstream trough (CTS), countercurrent trough (CTN), and semi-countercurrent trough (CTB), to meet different separation requirements. The downstream trough is suitable for roughing and concentrating of ore particles with a size range of 0~6mm. The countercurrent trough, on the other hand, is suitable for roughing and scavenging of ore particles with a size range of 0~0.6mm and for heavy medium recovery in the coal preparation industry. Lastly, the semi-countercurrent trough is suitable for roughing and concentrating of ore particles with a size range of 0~0.5mm, particularly for concentrations of ore with particle sizes between 0~0.15mm.
