Permanent Magnetic Drum Magnetic Separator: This is a highly versatile machine that is created for wet separation of particles of strongly magnetic minerals. It assists in the removal of strongly magnetic minerals mixed with non-magnetic minerals. The machine is designed to process large amounts of ore continuously and has a high processing capacity.
The machine's design features a large magnetic field depth and a large working gap, ensuring that it separates particles efficiently. Its working principle is simple. When slurry is placed into the magnetic field area, the strongly magnetic minerals adsorb onto the surface of the drum, while the weakly magnetic and non-magnetic minerals are thrown off and discharged.
The strongly magnetic minerals are rotated with the drum and taken out of the magnetic field area, thus completing the separation process. The drum can be equipped with three types of troughs to meet different separation requirements, namely downstream trough (CTS), countercurrent trough (CTN), and semi-countercurrent trough (CTB).
The downstream trough is suitable for roughing and concentrating of ore particles with a size range of 0~6mm. The countercurrent trough is suitable for roughing and scavenging of ore particles with a size range of 0~0.6mm and for heavy medium recovery in the coal preparation industry. Lastly, the semi-countercurrent trough is suitable for roughing and concentrating of ore particles with a size range of 0~0.5mm, particularly for concentrations of ore with particle sizes between 0~0.15mm.
The Magnetic Drum Separator is an automatic separator that has the ability to separate magnetic materials from those that are non-magnetic. Its drum diameter ranges from 300mm to 1800mm and its weight can range between 1.5 to 10 tons depending on drum size. The machine can weigh between 600kg to 9300kg.
This product is perfect for industries that require wet separation of fine particles of strongly magnetic minerals such as mining, ceramics, chemical, and food industries. It can operate in environments with a working temperature of no more than 80°C.
